On 18 July 2026, one week after our first program, PlayClean Nepal went back to Bhamkeswar Mandir in Sisaiya, Bedkot-6, Kanchanpur. The first visit had taught us something simple: a place can be swept clean in a morning and be littered again by the next week, unless people have somewhere to put their waste. So this time we came back to leave something behind.
We installed dustbins around the temple grounds and fixed them in place so they would stay put. We built a changing room for the people who come to take snan at the temple's 108 dhara (its water spouts). And we cleaned the pond. Volunteers waded in waist-deep to pull the weeds out by hand, then cleared the channel and the banks around it. Alongside that, the team cut back the overgrown grass, hauled away stones and rubble, and tidied the yard in front of the shrines.
It was a small team, and the work took the whole day, morning until evening. Nobody left early. Our aim at Bhamkeswar is simple and long-term: to keep the entire area neat, clean, and beautiful, not for one afternoon but as a place the community can be proud of. Thank you to every volunteer who gave a full day to it, and to the people of Sisaiya for welcoming us back.
