Cleanup at Sisaiya Chowk

Cleanup at Sisaiya Chowk

📍 Sisaiya Chowk, Bedkot-6, Kanchanpur

Our third program, and the first at Sisaiya Chowk itself. Volunteers spent the morning clearing the market junction: sweeping the roadside, digging out waste that had settled into the ground, lifting away broken concrete, and bagging what had piled up in front of the shops. Neighbours joined in as the morning went on, including an elder who picked up a broom and worked alongside the team. The municipality carried the collected waste away. Between the work, volunteers talked with local shopkeepers about managing waste better and keeping the chowk clean once it is clean.

Dustbins, a Changing Room & a Full Pond Clean at Bhamkeswar Mandir

📍 Bhamkeswar Mandir, Sisaiya, Bedkot-6, Kanchanpur

Our second program at Bhamkeswar Mandir, and a full day's work. A small team installed dustbins around the temple grounds, built a changing room for those who come to take snan at the temple's 108 dhara, and cleaned the pond, wading in waist-deep to clear the weeds by hand. The team also cut back the overgrown grass, hauled away stones and rubble, and tidied the yard in front of the shrines. The goal is to keep the whole Bhamkeswar area neat, clean, and beautiful for good.

PlayClean Nepal's very first program. Volunteers came together to clean the entire Bhamkeswar Mandir area, clearing overgrown grass and collecting waste from around the temple, and shared a warm moment with the local community.
